New arrival

Allow me to introduce myself my name is Philipp and I am one of new wave of interns at the Young foundation, and am working on the research side of the Youth of today campaign. I have been here for just over a week now and am enjoying the experience. Some of the things I have done already were attend an important meeting with the YLT partners. This is The National Youth Agency (NYA), Changemakers, UK Youth Parliament, British Youth Council, and the Prince’s Trust. It was a very interesting experience, where I got to see first hand how the Youth of Today project is being managed between major organizations. Also, I am very encouraged to see how this initiative is inspiring young people to become today’s leaders. I will be taking the opportunity to visit some of the programmes that were created by young people as a result of the Youth of Today campaign, and witness the positive impacts they are having on their communities. So, please look out for future blogs from me and the rest of the Youth of Today team.

Yesterday we had a great time here with 6 very enthusiastic young leaders ready to be trained up!

We spent the day making some action plans for current and new community projects that are going on across the country and I think it’s safe to say we all learnt a huge amount.
